Hawkins speaks about strengthening needy families. We need to help
other families in our community if they are lacking something. I
remember when I left Colorado back in 2010 and moved to Utah. The U Haul
truck could not fit all of our things. I left a piano, beds, furniture
and five years worth of prep food for a family of ten. I told someone in
the community that I was giving away things and lots of families showed
up and took every thing I left. When I got to Utah I asked the
neighbors where I could find a used appliance store. Someone told the
Bishop and he had brand new washing machine, dryer and refrigerator
delivered to my front door. If my ex-husband had car trouble some one
would show up and help him fix the car for free or sell him one for
under $500. I was pregnant with my tenth child and the neighbors gave me
a huge baby shower and cooked me dinner every night until I had the
baby. I miss living in the little farm community of Bothwell because I
could not believe how much love I felt from my neighbors. They knew I
was not LDS but they still cared for me and my family. I did not
experience this love with the other denomination of Christians that I
was living with back in Colorado. The love of Christ is so important to
share with other families even if they are saved. We must help each
other anyway we can because we will be rewarded here and in heaven.
Jesus said you will know they are mine by their LOVE.
Bless YAHWEH!
